Haan mein Galat!!

Its been over 40 days when I last stepped out of my house, and to be honest I have never been this happy!

The weird truth is, I’m enjoying not going out. Summers are here, May has just started and it is already 40 deg C. There are no expectations, the gym has no expectations from me, well because all the gyms are closed (not much has changed here, my gym never had much expectations from me), I don’t have any expectations from the weighing machine to show me even a Kg less. I can be in my pyjamas all day, and look like a sloth and nobody would care.

Quarantine has helped me to find the new me and my version 2.0 can do much more than just making a cup of tea.

And to be honest, what’s there not to like about this quarantine? Reading, writing, working, home cooked food, starting my own blog, being on the top of my skincare and exercise routine – could things be any better?

I left my home three years ago, which actually felt like end of an era, coming back home sounds exactly like the mini holiday I was looking for, especially after eating those perfectly cooked round rotis, the whole of me is at peace. The quarantine gave me endless opportunities to up my game and to have a loving relationship with my bed!

Also, there is a different kind of peace in seeing my money lie in my bank account. The only thing I’m spending on is the monthly subscription for my netflix account, my phone bill and finally, month end doesn’t give me shivers anymore. So, what exactly is there to crib about?

Okay, I admit, I have few things to crib about, like my eyebrows, like not getting hot chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, not being able to drive around the city beautiful and of course, KFC popcorns!

Like anyone else, I would be happy when this lockdown ends and the world becomes a safer place to live. I would be happy when going out in the evening or standing with a bunch of friends will not be considered as a criminal act, but till then, I’m guilty of enjoying my own company and the company of my parents, playing UNO, eating like a boss, and working like a boss lady!!
